Body recovered in Tongass Narrows identified through his fingerprints

KETCHIKAN -- Alaska State Troopers have identified the body of a man found floating
in Tongass Narrows Monday.
Daniel Eugene Carter, 48, was found near the Coast Guard base; he had drowned, troopers
said. A man in a skiff found the body.
Authorities did not know who the man was until Wednesday when fingerprints concluded
it was Carter.
No foul play is suspected.
